Meet Ms. Rachel – Educator and Songwriter
Ms. Rachel lives in New York City, along with her husband and their four-year-old son. She studied music education at New York University and specialized in speech development, early intervention, and early childhood development.
She strives to continuously learn as much as possible about childhood education. That’s why her show is not just entertaining but also influenced by some of the best current educational practices.
Someone Parents Can Relate To
Even though she’s gained immense popularity over the past few years, Ms. Rachel is not much different from other parents. She runs a TikTok page, where she interacts directly with caregivers who struggle with raising their children, never neglecting to mention the challenges many of us face throughout the journey.
Ms. Rachel noticed doing something she liked made her more energetic for her kid. It’s helped her develop playmate skills she didn’t use to have. Running an incredibly successful YouTube channel seems the right thing to do for her, as it enables her to influence other parents across the country.
Song Creation for Kids
Accurso says she’s always had a passion for teaching through music designed especially for children and toddlers. Her own child inspired her to launch Songs for Littles, and she believes it gives children access to high-quality early education.
Ms. Rachel’s son experienced slight delays in his speech, and she would get especially creative in helping him. She sought to create a show established on speech encouragement that’s slow-paced enough to fit a toddler’s perceptions. She also wanted the show to be interactive, almost as if taught by a real person.
“But there wasn’t any show of that kind,” she says. At the time, she was teaching toddler and baby music in person. So, she thought she’d be able to create one such show herself. Instead of succumbing to disappointment, she pulled up her sleeves and launched Songs for Littles.
So far, the show has been receiving very positive reviews from parents across the country. Many caregivers have commented on the influence Ms. Rachel has had on their kids’ vocabulary skills. Indeed, her show is truly enjoyable and educational!
